SPCA of Brazoria County
The local SPCA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and home to adoptable furry friends. It’s a low-cost spay and neuter clinic and no-kill shelter promoting responsible pet ownership. They unite animals with their forever homes and provide monthly vaccination clinics to support healthy pets and communities.
Habitat for Humanity Southern Brazoria County
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a world where everyone has a decent home. The nonprofit builds and improves homes working with those in need of a well-made, affordable place to live. They partner with families and individuals in need who are willing to invest sweat equity into their home and who are able to repay a mortgage with a fair payment plan.
Brazoria County Dream Center
The Dream Center is home to the Dream Pantry, where individuals have a digital card with points each month. In addition, its Backpack Buddies program provides bags with nutritional food and snacks to children with might not have sufficient food over the weekend. The center also facilitates free educational, basic life skills workshops as well as holiday gifts for children whose guardians have dealt with a life crisis that prevents them from purchasing presents.
United Way of Brazoria County
United Way of Brazoria County collaborates with community partners and local nonprofits. It focuses on providing education, income, health and basic needs, the pillars of a good quality of life. The organization provides assistance after disasters and has a Covid-19 Relief Fund.
